One month away...

It's February 28th.

If all goes according to the somewhat arbritrary due date the doctor gave us, we will have a wee one a month from today.

This was a great weekend, I was baby showered again. Our little girl recieved so many wonderful gifts, it was overwhelming. Despite a messy snow storm the day before so many people turned up. We ate, played games and had so much fun. My sister Tami was photographer extrodinaire - which is why she is in none of these pictures. She was such a great help in organizing the baby shower with my sister-in-law Rosie.

35 week Update

Had my 35 week checkup this morning and Baby Rodriguez is in position (good girl!) I caught a glimpse of her today - they wanted to see how she was positioned, her heartbeat is strong and she is growing. I am going to the doctors once a week now and in 2 weeks we have our "talk with the doc" about our birthplan and what to expect once I go into labor.

Although I've been pregnant since summer of '07, it's all seem to go by quite fast. And I've actually enjoyed being pregnant, I've had no heatburn, no acid reflux and no stretchmarks, at least there is no sign of said stretchmarks - who knows they could pop up later. Sure I've had some discomfort when sleeping, my feet are fat and my thighs are dangerously close to one another but all in all I really have nothing to complain about.

Surprise Carlyle Shower

On Tuesday my boss and colleagues threw me a surprise baby shower at the office. I was humbled by their kindness and generosity towards our little girl. I work with a great group of people. Here are some pictures from the shower.

28 weeks vs. 33 weeks

So it's not the best picture of me but I thought it would be fun to take a picture with Corinna who is 28 weeks along. My belly looks huge in this picture and honestly I think it's the sweater but I look like I'm ready to pop! My friends had warned me about the third trimester and were they right, it's the toughest of the three but it's also such an exciting time because as each week passes we are that much closer to meeting our little girl. Note to self...throw the green maternity sweater away!
