Friends from Israel

This week my college friend AnnMarie and her husband Matt visited New York from Israel. They met Ava for the first time. We walked all around midtown and went shopping, it was so much fun to hang out with them. AnnMarie makes me laugh like no one else. We used to work at Outback Steakhouse together in Gainesville, Fl. and I would be so excited when I knew she would be working, the girl had me rolling all night! Those were some fun times but it's so neat to hang out with her now that we are both married. I miss her already!

3 Months Old

Today Ava is 3 months old. She can hold her head up with no problem and is constantly looking around to see what's going on. She laughs a lot, out loud and mostly at herself. When she wants our attention she will start to cough, at first I thought she was catching a cold but realized she does it to get our attention. She has found her voice and makes all kinds of sounds, the best is her high pitch scream...it goes over real well in church.

Happy Birthday Nana!

Hi Nana!! Mommy told me today is your birthday so I wanted to wish you the Happiest Birthday ever!! I can't wait to meet you, I already love you so much. Mommy has told me so much about you. I know we are going to have fun in Florida when I get there.

Dear Daddy,

Even though we haven't known each other long, you're really starting to grow on me. There are so many things I already love about you. You always dance with me when there is music on at home. When you come home and I hear your voice I can't wait for you to come over and give me a kiss and tell me you missed me. Then to make it extra special you sing a song to me and I get to join in, it's so much fun! It makes me laugh when we're driving in the car and a song comes on the radio, you change the words and start singing about food, it makes Mommy laugh too.

There are so many things I love about you Pops. But the thing I love about you the most is that you're MY Daddy and whether we're hanging out in Brooklyn, out on the town or just relaxing at home I just love being with you. Happy Father's Day Daddy, you're the best!

Fists & Feet

Ava-bean is fascinated with her fists, she has been starring at them for about 2 weeks now. Last week she found her feet and while she can't touch them just yet, you can see that she is trying to figure out how to bring them to her mouth. It's so funny to watch, I'll leave her in her crib and walk in the room and she will be studying her fists, I come back 15 minutes later and she's still doing it. Who needs TV when you have a new baby?!?!

Buddies in the Nabe

With the weather being so hot lately our meet up was at my girlfriends house where the A/C was blowin. There were 12 babies and mommies piled into my friends apartment. I took a few pictures of Ava's buddies that she hangs out with here in our neighborhood. As you can see, she was not the hit of the party, she slept the first 20 minutes we got there, which is not like her, but her bloomers were a hit.

NYCC Couples Night Out

Friday night we took Ava to the sitters and headed to the city to meet up with other couples from our church for dinner. It was nice for Joey and I to be out with other couples, sans baby, time flew by. After dinner we headed to Bryant Park by way of Times Square where Carlos gave us some historical facts about TS landmarks while Pastor Ed collected tips. It was quite humorous.

Visit to Carlyle

Yesterday Ava and I hopped on the E train and headed toward the city. She loves the train, it puts her to sleep every time, ok that makes me really love the train. I brought her to the office so everyone could meet her, it was so nice to see everybody. She drooled all over people and even sang Claudia a song, who is a natural with children, lol. I don't know Claudia, I think motherhood is calling. Here are some pictures:

Ava absolutely loved my boss, Wael. She sang and danced with him, with some help from Kristie :) By the end, his shirt had her drool all over it, I felt bad but he didn't seem to mind.
