Jordan turns 1

This weekend Lela and I headed to Bayridge, Brooklyn, 2 kids in tow, to Jordan's first birthday party. Lela takes care of Jordan a few days a week so he and Aiden are pretty close. There was great food, a magic show and good friends. Ava was the magician's assistant for part of the show and absolutely LOVED the attention...my kid is not shy. She got to put on some funny hats and dance to music. Half way through the party my camera battery died, will I ever learn to charge the battery before I leave *sigh*

Apple Orchard

I'm a little late in posting these, last month we visited the apple orchards Upstate with some friends. It was unseasonably HOT that day. We picked apples, had some cider donuts and drank tons of water!! It just didn't feel right picking apples in such warm weather. The kids got so cranky from the hot weather we didn't even make it to the pumpkin patch or corn maze. Now that it's cooled off a bit we might go back for a true Autumn experience.

Berkeley Garden Party

This past weekend our co-op had a garden party. One of the draws to the area we live in is the english gardens that adorn most of the buildings within the historical district. While our garden is in the middle of a complete overhaul that didn't stop the residences from gathering to enjoy some fresh air, good food and neighborly love. There was a smorgasbord set before Ava of burgers, chicken, hot dogs, pasta and she asks for the salad, that's my girl! She noshed and played with the other co-op kiddos and we all enjoyed a night with some friends in our back yard.
