Best Summer Ever living in NYC!!

This summer was by far the best summer for the Rodriguez crew, we joined a beach club on Long Island and got ourselves a cabana on the beach.  We were out there every weekend and since I worked remotely most of the summer, me and the kids were out there every Thursday and Friday.  We hit the pool, beach and hung out at our kiddie pool at the cabana we even had live music on the weekend.  Daddy has more pictures on his phone then I do so I will have to get them and post more in the future.  Having our cabana will make the winters that much more bearable because we will have something awesome to look forward to in the summer.  We made great memories this summer, here's a glimpse.

Peek into Summer

I've been bad about updating so expect a lot of pictures from a fun filled summer in the coming weeks. Here are some shots I took with my phone the past few weeks that I have on hand to post. A cloudy day at the beach, Aiden loved watching the guy next to us fly his kite. You can always count on both of them falling asleep on our ride home from the beach.  Ava went to super kickers on the few days I had to work this summer, she loved it. And finally, our little guy is getting good at brushing his teeth for 2 whole minutes. More to come, stay tuned!!

Last Summer in Florida

My sister sent me a bunch of pictures from our trip to Florida last summer that she took of the kids.  I can't believe how much my babies have changed in one year.  Ava was so slight last summer, she has filled out over the past year.  Aiden was 16 months when these were taken and looks like a baby.  My how things change in one year. 

Hot Summer Days

Somebody was a good girl and got some ice cream after school one day.  I'll let you take a guess who it was...it has been super hot here this summer.  I think we are approaching our fourth heat wave this summer and it's mid-July.  Thankfully we spend the weekends on the beach, where it is about 10 degrees cooler then the concrete jungle - no joke!   I've been such a bad blogger and haven't posted any pictures from our beach days.  We've been having so much fun this summer that this blog has really slipped my mind.  Ava has such a great personality and I absolutely love hanging out with her.  She asks the most interesting questions and says the funniest things, she has the memory of an elephant!!  Elephants have a great memory, right?  I forget...

Taking time to smell the flowers

On our way home from school we trek through our garden where Ava likes to stop and play with other kids, sit on the benches, dig in the dirt or just run around our private green space. On this particular day she wanted me to take pictures of her next to some of the hydrangea bushes. She had to smell all the flowers. As you can see Bailey got in there for sniff some as well.

Best Mother's Day EVER!!

After church Joey and the kids took me to South Street Seaport, we have not been here in years.  The place has changed so much, there are a lot of cool restaurants, a beer garden (on the water) and lots of cute little shops.  My munchkins were on their best behavior.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day, we enjoyed the water and the sun, we walked around and the kids had a blast.  It was a great time.  We finished off the afternoon with some ice cream.  As we were walking back to the subway I took this picture of the Freedom Tower.
