Sleeping Beauty

Often Ava falls asleep on her own, we calm her down, put her in her crib and within minutes she is off to la-la land. Well this afternoon she refused to go to sleep so we left her to play and once we heard no sound coming from the room we walked in and this is what we found.

So after some maneuvering, her walking up, more playing she exhausted herself and found a comfortable position. She insists on sleeping in the corners of her crib, I guess she feels safer that way but there is not a morning where she is not squished into one of the corners.

Yes, that is a strawberry by her ear, also known as a hemangioma, Ava's pediatrician says it will be gone by the time she is two. It's the first thing other children notice on her and always want to know what it is and why she has it, quite funny. I will almost be sad to see it go.
