Labor Day Weekend

Our Labor Day weekend was jam packed with stuff to do, it started off nice and quiet with me and the kids home on Friday and nothing was out of control, except Ava's hair, that hair and I went a few rounds this weekend but that's another story.

With the threat of hurricane Earl looming we stayed in all day and made the most of it, although Earl blew right past us only leaving behind some wind which was felt on Saturday as we ventured to the quaint town of Sea Cliff, Long Island for the Loscalzo's Surprise 30th Anniversary party.

There is nothing like hanging around true New York Italians, my kind of people - fun, loud, thick accents, big family gathering, vino and of course, Ol' Blue Eyes playing in the background. It was a great day, despite the high winds. Ava made some friends and played on the beach. We stayed to watch the sun go down - Belissimo!

Surprise!!

On Monday we went to a beautiful garden in Forest Hills and had our family professionally photographed. These are shots of the photo shoot and us playing around with our camera beforehand. It was a great session even though Ava wasn't always cooperative - what 2 1/2 year old is?

By the end of the shoot our little man was tuckered out.
